The Media Center can control the satellite TV receiver.

Your cable TV receiver is a
source for the Media
Center.

Antenna:
All local Over-the-air TV and FM Radio broadcast can be
received by the Media Center with its internal tuner.

FM Radio channels received by the tuner are also
controlled by the Media Center. You can create
favorites, select a channel or scan the channels. |
Internet:
The ultimate source for any internet
available media. You can downloaded information such as:
pictures, video's, movies or music with a high speed
internet connection. The broadcast, satellite or
Cable TV guide is received Free from the internet.
You can still use the internet the same way you do now but
also receive Instant Messages or Video Call directly on
your TV or Monitor.

Media Center:
The GS Media Center is a uniquely designed
high performance system to handle many multimedia events
at the same time. Each model increases the performance and
capability of the system to extended itself to other
locations in your home, store more movies, videos, music,

Center. The Media Center can handle up to 3 TV Tuners,

Media Center Case:
This is the Mini Media Center case
that is small, quiet and can be placed vertical or
horizontal to match your current entertainment center.
The Media Center is also available in 3 different optional media case styles,
some with digital displays to help blend in easier with
your current audio and entertainment center. A

standard Mid-Tower computer case is also available. |

Starting with basic stereo output from your TV or by
connecting the stereo output to an amplifier you will
enjoy rich quality stereo sound. Adding two
additional amplified speaker further enhances your
listening pleasure by providing a quad sound effect.
To provide the full capability of this sound system you
can add two more additional amplified speaker along with a
bass woofer to enjoy true home theater 5.1 surround sound. |
Stereo Audio:
The stereo quality audio of the Media Center
enhances your listening enjoyment!
The basic output from the Media Center is digital quality
stereo. This stereo output can be connected to your TV or
to a stereo input of an amplifier to
enjoy rich quality stereo sound. The Media Center
can control all the stereo settings by means of the Media
Center remote control unit. To further enhance
your listening enjoyment see the 6 Channel Audio

TV Output:
The Media Center is designed to use your TV
as the main display and provides composite video or
S-Video with stereo output. The Media Center remote
control can control all functions of the Media Center just
like your current TV remote control, plus record, pause
and replay any live or recorded broadcast. Additionally
your can your TV as a large screen monitor for other
computer functions such a surfing the Internet, Playing
games, video conferencing or just to display other
computer programs.

Monitor Output:
Although the Media Center is designed to use your TV
as the main display a Video Monitor can be used instead or in
addition to your TV. A Video Monitor such as the new
LCD types will provide equivalent High Definition picture
quality and clarity. Many of today's new TV's also have a
monitor input which would greatly enhance the picture
quality with the high resolution video output from the
Media Center.

Media Center Extender:
The Media Center Extender is a method of
extending the Media Center to other locations in your
home. The Media Center Extenders are connected to
the Media Center by a wired or wireless network. A
monitor, TV with stereo can connected to a Media Center
Extender. You can watch live or recorded TV, DVD
movies, Slide Shows or listen to your favorite music
anywhere in your home all while other Media Center
Extenders are providing different content at their remote
location. The Media Center is offered in different
performance models to support up to a total of 5 Media
Center Extenders. |
Camera:
A digital Digital Camera's pictures or
Digital Video Recorders video can be
transferred to the Media Center for storage and organized
in albums or an album can be transferred to a digital
camera or its media for portable viewing. Picture editing
and red-eye correction are easily done through the remote
control. You can even burn your picture or video to
a CD or a DVD. A USB 2.0 high
speed interface is used for transferring content. On some models
and as an option a Media Reader and a Fire Wire (IEEE
1394) interface is available for direct media card content
transfers. |
PDA: (Personal
Data Assistant)
Transfer information on contacts,
To-Do List, appointments, spreadsheets, pictures, emails
to and from your Media Center. If you add Microsoft
Outlook or Microsoft Office software, you can
synchronize your PDA with your desktop on the Media
Center. Many of today's PDA's also provide music
storage and playback and the Media Center can easily
transfer selected albums or indvidual songs. As more
digital music players are available they also can record
or playback their storage and exchange them with the Media
Center. |
Scanner:
Attach a digital image scanner and scan
your old photos and documents into the Media Center. You
can organize your pictures in albums and your documents
into folders for later printing or viewing on any Media
Center display including Media Center Extenders.
You
can create a slideshow of you pictures, a presentation of
documents or drawings and burn a CD or DVD to share them
with others.

Remote Control:
Control all functions of the Media Center
with the Media Center remote control unit from comfort of
your favorite location.
Start, Stop, Pause, Review, Record, Select programming of
any live or recorded content. Select a FM Radio
channel to add background music to a homemade digital
slide show. Select your source of content to
display, listen or record. In addition to all the
special functions of the Media Center remote control, all
the usual control function of a TV, VCR, DVD remote
control are available in one control unit. |
Keyboard & Mouse:
The Media Center is designed around the
Media Center remote control for ease of operation.
Although all control functions are available from the
Media Center remote control, It would be easier to author
a new email message or update a spreadsheet with a
keyboard and mouse. All models of the Media Center
have a keyboard and mouse. In some models of the
Media Center the keyboard and mouse is wireless while
other configurations have a wired Keyboard and Mouse and a
wireless as an option. |
